BlueHost

I stumbled upon BlueHost when searching for good sites where I could afford a good place to web host and purchase a domain name.

During my search I found quite a few that offered both but I found that what they had of good was balanced out with quite a few things I didn’t like, such as when the services included where quite good the price was quite high and low prices had very few extras.

Sure, sure, I know I might not need all those extras now, but when betting on a web hosting and domain name I want to bet for the future and think of what I might still do with it in the future, I might not know how to work with MySQL, PHP and CGI for example at the moment, however as I get better and better at the Internet and as things progress I might want to use it to make a more advanced yet user friendly site, and include many more options I wouldn’t be able to include without them, after all I don’t want to get stuck with the capabilities to progress and not have the possibilities to!

Well during my search I stumbled on BlueHost, and I must say I’m saving up for it now and plan to buy plan for myself.

I started to look at the things it included first of all such as:

MySQL;

PHP;

CGI;

Perl;

POP3/IMAP Email Accounts;

Disk Storage 300 GB;

Monthly Bandwidth 3000 GB (3 TB);

AWStats / Webalizer Statistics;

PostgreSQL support;

Password Protect Directories;

Frontpage 2000/2002/2003 Extensions

Customizable Error Pages;

Guestbook (Multiple Options);

Live Chat Software;

Web Blogs / Wordpress / b2evolution;

Image Galleries / Coppermine;

Poll and Survey Software;

Web Auction Software;

Shopping Cart;

Storage Backups;

Search Engine Submission;

Search Engine Position Report;

And much more stuff, sure I don’t know what half of the stuff is or even if I’ll ever use it, but it’s good to know I have the option to use it if the occasion ever arises.

The thing I liked most was that besides it having all those extras and options it came with the domain included and it was all at a real good price in my opinion, one I can save up for and afford, I’m unemployed at the moment so I’ll have to save up first, but even out of a job it’s quite a good deal, especially if you’d like to use it as an investment and create an on-line store to sell your products, or something to create some sort of income such as an affiliation website telling of all these good products out there that other people can use and earn a little something through the affiliation.

I must say it’s something I am definitely going to invest in as the price is way more then fair for all it offers.

Just remember that if you choose for example a 24 month subscription it should renew automatically so don’t forget that.

But I think the best things is you have a look for yourself to see what you think after reading through what they have to offer as I think you can only truly understand something once you’ve seen it first hand!

There’s a few different plans to choose from so good luck ;)

Gmail

Gmail logo

Google e-mail provider:
www.gmail.com

Gmail is an e-mail provider and I’ll have to say it’s one of the best I’ve had so far.

Having to close over 4 e-mail addresses due to spam that was out of control and maybe having to do it once more with an e-mail I really wish I could keep I’ve found that Gmail

I must confess I haven’t used hotmail or yahoo among some others since they’ve updated themselves, however just remembering the full blown spam I’d get makes me rather intimidated to even try again, after all you give out the e-mail to friends and family and it’s real annoying to have to give them a different one every so often, and it causes a lot of people to even loose contact with you that way.

I’ve found that in terms of quality and space it’s amazing that Gmail is a free e-mail provider as I love it so much, who ever said good things don’t come cheap?

Sure I find it a bit complicated at times and wish it had an extra function here and there to make it from the 4 star it is to me now to a 5 star service, but I have to say I’m quite pleased with how it is now so I wouldn’t mind too much that they never add the features I find they could do with., or maybe they have but I just haven’t figured it out yet. One of the features I’ve hoped for was creating different folders for different e-mails, such as a folder for family e-mails one for money related e-mails and so on, but so far it seems I can only either star them or archive them.

I do have to say that the amount of e-mails I have received would most probably have closed my other accounts by reaching maximum capacity and that in Gmail I haven’t even reached 50% of the total capacity allowed, so that has to be something that makes me quite proud to own a Gmail account.

I have to admit that I still haven’t managed to figure everything out yet but I also haven’t really tried a profound look yet at all the functions.

But all in all with what I do know of Gmail I’d say I’m quite happy with it and have to rank it a 4 star so far, but it’s always good to check the spam section just encase it might have isolated an odd e-mail here or there that isn’t spam, no e-mail provider I guess is 100% good at that.

Paid To Post Mylot

myLot

Paid To Post Site:

http://www.mylot.com/?ref=SKLC_PT

If you want to make money fast by doing nothing, well then this isn’t the site for you!
You need quite a bit of effort to earn on this site and the earning isn’t much but you can get there eventually with some time and patience.

myLot is a paid to post community site sort of like an on-line forum, that offers its users the ability to write about what they like, from foods to sports, countries and cultures, just about everything goes though offensive content and certain other things are prohibited.

They offer a wide variety of options for their users such as a front page and profile that you can change to suit your taste, it is a bit limited but they have been improving a lot and with time things should only get better!

The discussions made should be authentic writing of the author and not just copy paste from other sites be it if you created or replied to the discussion in question, when posting you can choose to only write discussions posted in your areas of interest and even adding or not interests of your friends that you might have forgotten to add.

The interests are very well organized in categories, and you can even add images into the categories you like as long as they coincide with the interest.

There are quite a few cool functions on the site such in the community area as adding friends, getting updates to your e-mail whenever a friend creates a discussion (optional choosing of what friends you get updates from), sending them e-mails through the site and tagging your e-mails so they are easier to find.

Another thing when writing in the forums, you can receive e-mails of any replies to your discussions made, so you can keep track of when someone might have said something about what you had to say.

A few more features such as adding your blog, seeing discussions with no replies, more popular discussions, referring others, adding photos, reviewing others with a + or - or even reporting bad behavior and much more make it quite interesting and incredibly easy to navigate and find what you want.

You get some more options once you are a member for a certain amount of posts, such as being able to copy and paste, and add photos to your replies, plus see how people have reviewed you…

Sometimes they have competitions for the users, they had one of 1000$ to create a good easy video advertising mylot in a simple but entertaining way and another of making banners for mylot at 1$ for each winning banner, but the competitions aren’t that often.
And the best thing about it all is that all though it might take long they will pay you for taking part of the forum, but you should be advised to behave.

Some tips:

When starting try to reply to discussions and only create your own discussions once you have a considerate amount of friends, as newcomers tend to have less replies or non when they start and as you make new friends the chances of getting replies goes up.

And when you make friends try replying to their posts when you can.

Try your best to create discussions on things not yet discussed.

Try writing 4 or more lines when creating or replying to discussions as the more you write and the more quality it has the more you earn, I heard that one liners don’t earn much or anything at all.

Read through the terms before registering to better understand the rules and guide of conduct.

If you post an image with the posts you might be able to earn a little more, but it only works if you post it in the interests area and within the posts not under your photos as you don’t get paid for those.

If you have any more questions you can always ask me there if you join!

Requirements:

Good English writing or at least Fair writing English;

Paypal account to receive your payments I heard that E-Gold works too but I’m not sure;

Friendly and well, like to write, as you won’t find it compensating if you are just there for the money;

There are no time obligations you write when you want;

There are quite a lot of features and they strive to improve their site so who knows with time it might have even more functions that make it even better then most free community sites, though in my opinion it already is my first choice over the others.
